About Said With Care

Six guides about one narrow thing: what to write to a woman you like, and what to do with her answer. This page explains how they are made, so you can decide how far to trust them.

Scope

What the site is, and is not

Said With Care publishes written advice on texting and flirting for men aged 18 and over. That is all it does.

The guides cover how to text a girl in general, starting a conversation over text, flirting over text, flirting in person, good morning texts and opening lines on dating apps.

Not on this site

  • Lines designed to pressure, confuse or wear someone down.
  • Advice on what to send after she has said no. The advice is to stop.
  • Sexual messages, or anything written for people under 18.
  • Profiles, matching or introductions. We are a publisher, not a service.
Evidence

Two kinds of numbers, kept apart

Every figure on the site is one of two things, and the page always says which.

Other people's research

Findings from published studies and large surveys. Each one links to the paper or the report, and the guide says who was studied, because a result from a few hundred students is not a fact about everyone.

We do not cite other advice sites, and we do not repeat statistics we could not trace to a source.

Our own counts

Each guide has one section built on something we measured ourselves: search queries sorted by the problem behind them, example messages collected from the pages that rank highest, or public survey data we recalculated.

Those sections state the date, the method and the weak points. Where a count is rough, the page says it is rough.

Examples

About the example messages

The sample texts in the guides are written by us to show a principle. They are not scripts, and nobody tested them on real people.

Copying one word for word misses the point of every guide here, which is that a message works when it could only have been sent to her. Use the examples to see the shape, then write your own.

Authorship

Who is behind it

The guides are signed by the Said With Care editorial team. No individual names, portraits or credentials appear, because we are not going to invent any.

Nobody here is a therapist or a relationship counsellor, and the site does not claim otherwise. What it offers is careful reading of the research, honest counting, and plain writing.

Researchers named in the guides are quoted from their published work. None of them wrote for this site or reviewed it.

Corrections

If we are wrong

An error gets fixed on the page it is on, and the page's modified date changes when the text does.

Those dates come from the edit history of each page. A page that has not changed keeps its old date.
